Greek vs. non-Greek

What you are about to read is a controversial topic for all Florida State University students, and because of this, I have strategically chosen to write this piece a few weeks before my graduation.

Throughout the rest of this commentary I will break down what it means to be a member of the Greek community, and also mention the relationship between Greeks and the so-called "god damn independents," or GDI's.

Rumors, myths unfounded at IU Health Center

Bruce Nguyen snags Freeman-ASIA scholarship

ATO colony gains official status

A fraternity secured its place at UTA when it was chartered Saturday by its national organization.

After two and a half years on campus, the Alpha Tau Omega colony became the Kappa Alpha chapter of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

The Shack Quad, which is usually packed with Greeks on game day at Troy University was nearly empty, except for a couple of fraternities that wouldn't have missed the last opportunity to tailgate this season.

The brothers of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity set up under a tent with the focal points of the gathering a television and chicken and turkey hot off the grill.

The members of Alpha Tau Omega spent Saturday cleaning up the alley around their house on 6th street.

'Men of Lehigh' sold for sorority charity

Gamma Phi Beta sorority members sold "Men at Lehigh" postcards to help raise money for their cook's family friend who was injured in an accident last year.

Chris Pollinger, a friend of Gamma Phi's cook, Ed Cassell, was left paraplegic after being involved in a car accident. For the past two semesters, the sisters have been trying to raise money for Pollinger and his family.

ATF gives conflicting information on fire

But one request for documents related to the case was recently denied because Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents said the case is still open...

LSU Greek organizations reached out to help the University of Mississippi fraternity whose house fell into flames in late August.

To cushion some of the rebuilding costs for the Ole Miss Alpha Tau Omega chapter, the donations from LSU totaled $2,000. The fundraiser was headed by LSU's Intrafraternity Council.

Greeks view U. report on Castle party as fair

ATO still adapting after tragedy, benefit on Nov. 10

Sister Hazel and Ingram Hill will hold a benefit concert Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts to raise money for the Alpha Tau Omega memorial fund.

The concert is presented by the fraternities and sororities of Ole Miss, with Ingram Hill as the opening band for Sister Hazel.

"This is such a wonderful opportunity to be able to have this benefit concert for the ATO fraternity," said Jennifer Taylor, director of campus programming.

"Through the tragedy of the fire, I feel that the whole university community has grown stronger, and this is our way of honoring the ATOs," Taylor said...
